The Carrot Cache Innovation Prize Winner at the Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario (EFAO) 2024 Conference went to Dr. Karen Houle from the Art of Soil Collective, Compost Queens of Royal City.

The Art of Soil Collective won for their community compost system project located at Two Rivers Huron St., a community garden in Guelph. This project has had a significant impact on composting efforts & compost education in the city. Their 12-ft high 3-cascading bin structure was designed to inspire compost system rebuilds in key, visible, collector locations across the city, such as schools and existing green city programs.
